France Visa

Schengen visa can go to 26 countries in the Schengen area (Europe), including: Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Finland, France, Greece, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland , Lettonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia.

Information to know when applying for a French visa

• French visa applicants must reside legally in Vietnam;
• France visa applications must be submitted at the earliest 3 months or at the latest 15 days before the intended date of departure;
• The average processing time for a French visa application is 2-3 weeks;
• Biometric data (10 fingerprints and digital photos) obtained at the time of application;
• France visa application is considered based on the documents provided by you. At the application counter, no additional documents are required. If a document is missing from your records, it means you are unable or unwilling to provide it;
• An incomplete application may lead to a decision to refuse a visa. However, providing sufficient documents does not automatically guarantee visa issuance;
• When necessary, the applicant may be invited to continue the interview and be asked to provide additional documents;
• All documents in Vietnamese must be accompanied by a valid translation (notarized by the judicial office) into French or English;
• The submitted documents must be accompanied by photocopies. The copy will be duly signed when presenting the original. The visa office will only keep the copy. The original will be returned to the guest immediately. The copies must be A4 paper size;
• Do not accept fax or e-mail documents;
• Applicants must select the type of visa they wish to apply for and provide appropriate supporting documents. Accordingly, the visa office will review the application. The decision to grant or refuse a visa is made based on the content of the application submitted by the applicant.

France visa application for all applicants

1. Schengen visa application form: clearly filled out, dated and signed
2. 02 pictures 4×6 white background
3. Passport valid for more than 6 months and have at least 2 blank pages with visa stickers
4. Household registration book
5. Identity card (ID card)
6. Birth certificate
7. Marriage certificate or divorce certificate
8. Travel insurance
9. Confirmed return air ticket
10. Hotel booking confirmation

Applying for a French visa for the purpose of tourism needs additional

1. Invitation letter from an individual in case of stay at the individual’s home (if any).
2. In case of transit, visa or entry permit to the country where the aircraft is changed. The next plane ticket for the trip.

Apply for a French visa for short-term business purposes 

1. Job offer letter
2. Or proof of a commercial or professional relationship: contracts, invoices, etc.
3. Or access cards to fairs, conferences, documents confirming business activities, work orders

Apply for a French visa for the purpose of studying or additional  training

1. Confirm enrollment at an educational institution.
2. Student card of an educational institution in France or a document describing the course that the applicant will study (in case the registration document does not contain this information).

Apply for a French visa for the purpose of additional family visits 

1. Proof of domicile
2. Original copy of guarantee letter issued by the City Hall of the accommodation. Submit originals and copies.

Proof of financial ability

1. Confirm bank account balance within 3 months with minimum balance of VND 200 million
2. Copy of passbook (if any)
3. Real estate ownership papers (if any)

Documents proving professional status

1. Business owners/contributing shareholders: Business registration certificate, tax statements for the last 3 months
2. Employee: Labor contract, 3-month payroll and Leave application for travel or decision to send on business trip for business trip
3. Student : Student card (SV); School certificate
4. Housewife: Marriage certificate; Real estate ownership papers and savings book at least 200 million VND

For children under 18 years old accompanied by additional parents

1. Authorization letter written and signed by father and mother
2. Copies of parents’ passports (or other photo identification)
3. Birth certificate
4. Household registration book

France visa duration and value

• France visa applications are processed within a minimum of 2-3 weeks
• The France visa is valid based on the trip schedule and decision of the French Consulate or Embassy
