Guide to applying for a European Visa

The first thing to apply for a European Visa, you are always interested in what are the necessary conditions? But the issue of visa procedures and costs are the two issues that many tourists are most concerned about when coming to Europe.

Case 1 : If you only travel to 1 country, you only need to apply for a visa for that country.

Case 2 : If traveling to 2 or more countries:

+ The longest stay in any country, you must apply for a visa for that country.

+ The duration of stay in the countries is the same, whichever country comes first (in the trip schedule), you apply for a visa for that country.

The Schengen area  allows you to apply for a visa 3 months before your departure date. You need to apply for a visa in the country where you first or longest stay. Visa processing time is about 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the country.

The maximum short-term visa period is from 90 days, depending on the application and each country, it can be longer.

However, most of the countries in the Schengen area do not accept the issuance of free tourist visas to Vietnamese citizens without a guarantor’s invitation, except France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain. Therefore, if you want to apply for a European tourist visa, you can go to the embassy or visa reception center of one of these four countries in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

PROCEDURES FOR EUROPEAN VISA ?

1) Fill in the European Visa Application

Visit  https://fr.tlscontact.com  & scroll down to the bottom of the page to choose the office in Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi where you will apply:

• Click on Create an account to register an account with TLSContact. TLSContact will send you an account verification email.
• After successful authentication, log in to your account and select Create profile (as shown below).

• All information fields are translated into Vietnamese
• After filling in, remember to check carefully before clicking Done because then the system will not allow to correct any information.
• TLSContact will send you this form by email. All that remains is to print it out, date it and sign it.

• The European visa application form will default to the Multiple visa option. If you are applying for a European visa for the first time, before applying directly, you should ask the receptionist to change it to Single.

2) Make an appointment

• Still at the Account page of TLSContact, you proceed to select the Date & Time you want to submit your application.
• TLSContact only accepts applications if the filing date is at least 15 days from the departure date and up to 3 months.

3) Completing the European Visa Application:

Prepare documents:

Note: All new printed documents and copies (photocopy) must be presented in A4 size (do not cut off excess white paper).

+ Trip schedule (if you are traveling on your own, if you go on a tour, you can contact World Trade for support)

+  Booking air tickets & hotels

Buy travel insurance:

• Prepare Original + 01 copy
• Buy enough days for the whole trip
• The insurance must be valid in all the countries of the Schengen area
• Insurance must have a compensation of at least €30,000

4) Submit Application at TLSContact

After successfully booking an appointment, TLSContact will send you an appointment letter with the following specific information:

+ Time to apply: same time as you registered before

+ Address of TLSContact:

• In Ho Chi Minh : Vincom Center, Floor 12A, 72 Le Thanh Ton & 45 Ly Tu Trong, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1
• In Hanoi:  Capital Tower, 17th Floor, Tran Hung Dao Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hoan Kiem District

+ Bring the necessary documents: as above

+ Fee payment for LSQ: The fee to be paid when considering a tourist Schengen visa application (short-term) is 60 Euros, converted into VND at the exchange rate set by the Embassy and may change depending on the situation. every time.

5) After submitting the application:

Your application will be reviewed by LSQ. If you have doubts or need more information, the Consular Officer may request additional documents or attend an interview. In this case, LSQ will email you with full instructions.

Visa issuance time is from 2 to 3 weeks after submitting the application (depending on the country). The service side of TLS will call or email you the results and you will come and receive your passport
