General documents to apply for a Korean student visa include:
- Passport valid for at least 12 months from the date of application.
- Visa application form in Korean or English.
- Original certificate of admission issued by the school attending in Korea.
- Copy of national identity card, enclosed with the original.
- Pulmonary tuberculosis test results sheet.
- Application form for student visa application information.
- 1 portrait photo
- Copy of Korean school’s business registration
Types of documents to apply for a Korean student visa by program
Each study abroad program will have a slightly different visa application. As follows:
1. Apply for a Korean student visa to study language
- General papers
- The study plan paper at the school that you are applying to study in Korea sent back, including lecturer information and study timetable.
- Diploma and academic records: original notarized English/Korean translation.
- If you have graduated from a college/university, you must submit your diploma and transcripts of these systems.
- Self-introduction and study plan written in English or Korean (TRANSLATION NOT ACCEPTED)
- Financial certificate.
- Curriculum vitae including original Vietnamese and English translation, notarized.
2. College/university student visa.
- General papers
- Diploma and transcripts: including original and notarized English/Korean translation.
- Graduation certificate and transcript if graduated from university or master.
- Curriculum Vitae: Original and English translation, notarized
- Study plan and self-introduction written in English/Korean.
- Financial certificate.
3. Apply for a Korean Master’s student visa
– Documents to be prepared:
- The highest academic certificate: including the original and notarized translation.
- Financial certificate.
Conditions for applying for a Korean Master’s student visa include:
- Graduated from university. Full-time degrees, or in-service degrees, are accepted (some priority schools only accept full-time degrees).
- Aged between 21-25 years old.
- Have TOPIK level 4 or higher or equivalent English (IELTS 6.0 or higher).
- Have good health for study and do not have tuberculosis.
- No entry and exit restrictions in Vietnam and Korea.
