Types of US Immigrant Visas include:
US immigrant visa under direct membership:
- IR1/CR1: Spouses of US citizens. The applicant must be legally married to a US citizen. The petition is only open for review after the marriage certificate is obtained and the sponsor (ie the spouse with US citizenship) is 18 years old or older and is residing in the US.
- IR2/CR2: Natural child of US citizen spouse, unmarried child, under 21 years old. In the case of a stepchild of a US citizen spouse, a stepchild will be eligible for immigration if the US citizen spouse’s relationship was officially established before the child turned 18 years old.
- IR3: Adopted child of US citizen (adopted in another country)
- IR4: Adopted child of a US citizen (adopted in the US)
- IR5: The biological parent or step-parent of a US citizen. In this case, the US citizen making the guarantee must be at least 21 years old. And the marriage of the step-parent to the sponsor’s biological parent must be officially established before they reach the age of 18. If the sponsor has applied for legal adoption, they may not be able to sponsor their biological parents.
- K1: The fiancé of a US citizen. The marital status of both people must be legal to get married, they must have met in person within the last 2 years, and after the sponsored person comes to the US with a K1 visa, the two must be married within 90 days .
- K3: Spouses and stepchildren of US citizen spouses.
US immigrant visa for family members:
- U.S. citizens file Form I-140.
- Applicants must file Form I-485 to change status if living in the United States or apply to the National Visa Center if living outside the United States.
- Interview at the US Embassy.
- F1 Visa: Unmarried children of US citizens.
- F2A Visa: Spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 of permanent residents.
- F2B Visa: Unmarried children of permanent residents.

Work visa immigrant:
An immigrant visa is for foreign workers who want to immigrate to the United States. The employment-based immigrant visa allows applicants the opportunity to apply for lawful permanent residence in the United States. The EB5 Investor Visa is for foreign investors who want to invest in an EB5 project licensed by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Eligibility for EB5 candidates is to invest a capital of $500,000 or $1,000,000 and create at least 10 full-time jobs for US citizens.

Your petition needs to be approved by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The application will then be forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC) for review. When NVC finishes processing the application, they will schedule an interview and forward it to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City for an interview. Then you attend the interview with the prepared documents according to the scheduled appointment.
